About the Role:
Our client, a well-established fabrication business in Cardiff, is looking for a skilled Fabricator Welder with experience in structural steel and coding to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of steel fabrication projects in a busy and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Fabrication and welding of structural steel components to high standards.
✔ Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans.
✔ Carrying out MIG/MAG welding and ensuring all welds meet industry standards.
✔ Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
✔ Ensuring work is completed to coded welding standards.
✔ Operating fabrication machinery such as saws, presses, and drills.
✔ Conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
✔ Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder in a structural steel environment.
🔹 Coded welding qualifications (or ability to pass a coding test).
🔹 Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings.
🔹 Skilled in MIG welding (additional TIG & MMA experience is beneficial).
🔹 Experience working to industry standards and strict quality control measures.
🔹 Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
🔹 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
